I came across this television show on NBC called Knight Rider and as a kid I must say the slightest thing could amaze you. Back in that time technology was not as great as it is today, but there was this one vehicle that had all the technology as we do today. That vehicle was call the Knight Industries 2000, otherwise known as KITT.
This car was so amazing and popular it had his own toys, lunch Box, T shirts, posters etc. I told my mom that I had to have that vehicle. December 1984 I remember opening one gift and that gift took me away to another place! But that was a long, long time ago.
Let’s fast forward a little bit; We as men have all had our share of toys and dream cars. I vowed that one day the I would have this truly unique vehicle called KITT. Many years later on August the 24, 2013 the journey began. I was searching through Craigslist and I came across a blue 1984 Pontiac Trans Am with 20" rims on it. As many weeks went by, I found myself constantly customizing and prying at the vehicle to make him look more and more like KITT, and in April 2016 my KITT was born.
I've always heard about events being thrown for this TV show, but I've never been. In August 2016 I went to my very 1st show held here in Atlanta, Georgia by Mark Puette, Founder of (Southern Knights Atlanta). For my KITT that was the first and last show it would ever attend. On September 16, 2016 a tragedy occurred, my Knight Industries Two Thousand was brutally cannibalized and dismantled at a well know paint and body shop (MAACO) 1350 S. MARIETTA PKWY SE. MARIETTA GA 30067. They now have a second location, 879 Roswell St NE, Marietta, GA 30060. I strongly advise to anyone in this area and surrounding areas please beware of this multi-million-dollar establishment as the damage to my vehicle was done on their fenced in lot that was burglarized "so they say."
This truly unique vehicle was appraised at approximately $40k, and this company did nothing to compensate the damages that were made. No attorney was found to assist me in this matter I only found injury attorneys and this case was not of interest to them. I to this day have documents photos & evidence that state that my vehicle was to be taken care of in their possession. I was lied to and wrongfully treated as a paying customer at this place. So, I ask that anyone pondering upon taking your car, truck, motorcycles, boat etc... please view these photos that I have presented before you. I also ask that you stand with me in not sending business of any sort in they're direction. THANK YOU. Please share, I was crushed very hurt but my determination and passion for my dream car would not allow me to stop there. In November 2016 I took out a loan and I went to Craigslist once again. Some would say I'm extremely lucky but I will say I'm truly blessed. I found another 1984 Pontiac Trans Am and just like that, from scratch, KITT season 2 was born. Of course, this vehicle needed more attention than my 1st but with the skills and knowledge that I have had of building one of these vehicles before this was a piece of cake and it took less time than the 1st season KITT.
Over the past years 2017, 2018, up until now I told myself no matter the circumstances I would always attend (Southern Knights Atlanta). Over the past years I've met some truly remarkable and interesting and lovable people just to name a few (Michael Scheffe) the designer of the sleek look of the Knight Industries 2000, (Rebecca Holden) AKA April Curtis, (Catherine Hickland) AKA Stevie Mason, (Paul Lagreca) AKA Tino, just to name a few. The list goes on and for many more years to come F.L.A.G. (Foundation for Law and Government) will live on past, present and future. Remember ONE MAN CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Ask yourself, am I that one man?
